Gift Aid Declaration
Animal SOS Sri Lanka depends entirely on voluntary donations. We gratefully accept donations, Direct Debit, payroll giving, legacies, unwanted shares and Gift Aid. When you make a one off donation or a regular donation, even if it's a small amount, your impact builds up over time to help more animals. Thank you for setting up a Gift Aid declaration for your donations.
GIFT AID DECLARATION
Make your donation worth 25% more (at no cost to you!) with Gift Aid. Animal SOS Sri Lanka can increase your gift by 25% by reclaiming Gift Aid from HMRC. Your home address and postcode is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer. To Gift Aid your donation/s please complete the following declaration.I am a UK taxpayer. Please treat all donations I make or have made to Animal SOS Sri Lanka for the past 4 years as Gift Aid Donations.I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference. Please notify us in writing if you a) wish to cancel this Declaration, b) change your name or home address or c) no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains tax.If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
Gift Aid Explained
For Animal SOS Sri Lanka to be able to claim gift aid on your donations you need to have paid or will pay the same amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax as all charities will claim back on your Gift Aided donations in each tax year.Even if you think you are not a UK taxpayer, you are still eligible for Gift Aid if you pay tax in the following ways:
-
through a taxable investment or rental income
-
taxable savings or private pension plans. If you only receive the basic State Pension, then you won't pay any Income Tax and won't be able to Gift Aid your donations.
-
Capital Gains Tax.You don't have to give regularly or have donated a certain amount for us to claim Gift Aid on your donations. We can claim Gift Aid on how ever many donations you have made in the past four years.
